We are inviting residents of Weston and Gayton to share their views on local services, facilities, and what matters most for the future of our community.

Stafford Borough New Local Plan 2025 – 2045: Scoping and Participation Consultation

Stafford Borough Council have started work on their new Local Plan 2025 – 2045, which will guide where and how development should take place and which will form the background for decisions on planning applications. The new Plan is expected to be adopted in April 2029.

A Scoping and Participation Consultation has been launched about the Vision for the Plan, what should be considered, what Themes the Plan should cover and how consultation and engagement should place. The consultation questions can be found at Scoping and Participation Consultation 2026  with the other documents making up the consultation here:- New Local Plan 2025 to 2045 | Stafford Borough Council these include an online response form, or you can send an email.

Residents of Weston & Gayton are encouraged to participate in the Consultation as the new Local Plan will affect how any new development proposed for the Parish in the future will be considered – your views are important.

The Parish Council will also be considering how to respond to the consultation.

The closing date for responses to Stafford Borough Council is 12 noon. Tuesday 28th July.
